Although the set is adorable, the mother duck retains a good deal of water which cannot be expelled, no matter how hard you squeeze her. There is probably about a half a cup of water left in her at all times. I would recommend looking for a different BPA/phthalate-free duck.

We had to throw these away when we noticed "fuzzies" floating in the bath tub. It was mold from the ducks. Unfortunately, there is no way to remove all the water from inside the ducks and, as a result, they will grow mold.
